Registered Agent Services

Registered Agent Services

Every registered business is required to have a registered agent in the state where it is formed. That person is tasked with receiving important legal and tax documents on behalf of the business. Your registered agent will also receive service of process if a lawsuit is filed against your company. While a member of your company may serve as a registered agent, that person must:

  • Be available during normal business hours to receive service; and
  • Have an address in-state, which will be listed publicly.

Mod Law supports businesses by serving as their registered agent, ensuring that documents are received and quickly acted upon. As part of its registered agent services, Mod Law provides regular compliance reminders when documents are received and quickly notifies clients of any requirements needed to keep their businesses in good standing.

By letting Mod Law serve as their registered agent, clients are able to focus their time and attention on their company’s missions and not on collecting important legal documents from third parties.
