Communication is an essential part of making any partnership work: even an attorney-client relationship! At Mod Law Firm we encourage our clients to reach out whenever they have a question. True to our name, we’re a modern firm and that means that we communicate with our clients through email, text, telephone, virtual meetings, and a client portal – all based on our client’s individual communication preference. Questions may be submitted through any of those methods.

To hire Mod Law simply fill out the contact form on our website, give us a call, or set up an introductory virtual meeting with us. From there we’ll get to know each other and decide if we’re a mutual fit. After signing our engagement letter and paying any initial fees owing we’ll be able to get started with our representation of your business.

Initially we’ll just need some basic information about you and your business so we can run a conflicts check. We’ll also need a brief summary of your legal needs to ensure they fit our scope of services.

At Mod Law Firm, we strive to provide as many services as possible at a flat rate. As a client-centered law firm, supporting your business is our first priority. We want to ensure there are no surprises when you get your bill and that all of our clients are treated fairly.

We also use a virtual law firm model and modern legal technologies to work efficiently and keep our prices affordable. With Mod Law, you can be confident you’re paying for the legal services received, not for swanky downtown offices or to train a battalion of summer interns.

For your reference, we’ve included price guidelines for many of the flat-rate services we offer on our website: https://modlawfirm.com/mod-membership-program/

At Mod Law Firm occasionally a legal matter will require that client funds be held “in trust” in advance of legal services or costs Mod Law must incur on a client’s behalf. Money held “in trust” is still the client’s money and is not money Mod Law has earned. Through its trust account, Mod Law holds unearned money for its clients and maintains separate, detailed records in connection with the trust account on its client’s behalf. Any money earned by Mod Law will be transferred from the trust account to Mod Law’s operating account following an invoice provided to the client. Any unearned monies will be returned to the client at the conclusion of Mod Law’s representation.

While every client’s needs and services differ, we strive to complete all projects in a timely and efficient manner; communicating with our clients throughout the process so they aren’t left wondering when our services will be complete.
